Chocolate Doughnuts*

Using Formula 1 Vanilla Cream, Protein Drink Mix, Tri Blend Select Banana, H24 Rebuild Strength and Beta heart

 

The fusion of wholemeal flour, millet flakes, Tri Blend Select, Beta heart® and F1 Vanilla Cream take the traditional doughnut to a whole new level in this tasty recipe. Fun to make (and even more fun to eat) they are a delicious treat for the whole party.

 

Doughnuts:

  • 200g millet flakes
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 servings (80g) Tri Blend Select Banana
  • 1 serving (28g) PDM
  • 8 servings (61g) Beta heart®
  • 1 serving (26g) F1 Vanilla Cream
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 70g wholemeal flour

Glazing:

  • 1 serving (50g) H24 Rebuild Strength Chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons warm water
  • ½ serving (14g) PDM

 

 

Preheat the oven to 180 ̊C.

 

In a small pot boil the millet flakes with 2 cups of boiling water for 10 minutes, allow to cool.

 

When the millet flakes are cool, transfer to a large mixing bowl. Add the remaining doughnut ingredients and mix together to form dough.

 

Roll the dough into 9-10 balls and with a damp finger make a hole in the centre of each ball. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer to a cooling rack.

 

To make the glaze, whisk H24 Rebuild Strength with some warm water, add the PDM, whisk again, adjust the consistency with more water until the glaze is spreadable.

 

When the doughnuts are cool, ice them with the chocolate glaze and serve. Best eaten on the day they are made.
